Based in Hong Kong, AvatarUX is a privately held company that specializes in social and real money gaming. Its titles and signature style can be characterized as very engaging and portrait-first focused. Though set in Asia and starring all the local characters and realities, the studio nevertheless targets its content to Europe. This allows them to deliver diversity to continental gaming. Among other highly recognizable signature moves is lots of action on the reels, as well as 3D visualization and state-of-the-art gamification.
In 2019, AvatarUX made a major leap forward when it signed an important deal with Yggdrasil Gaming. This agreement made the studio one of several exclusive partners to the software developing giant. “We are hugely excited to be partnering exclusively with AvatarUX. What we have seen so far has been stunning so we can’t wait to release a series of collaborative new titles onto the market. As publisher looking to work with studios around the globe that fit local criteria. YGS Masters is about forging partnerships with the world’s premier independent studios that fit in with local criteria across a multitude of markets. This then brings new, high-quality and highly original gaming experiences to our customers”, said Yggdrasil’s Head of Studio Partnership Stuart McCarthy in his official statement.
According to the deal, the studio is to create several slots, taking care of front-end, storylines and bonuses, while Yggdrasil manages the distribution.
Here’s what Carson Wang, Managing Director at AvatarUX, had to say about this collaboration: “We are thrilled to be working with Yggdrasil. The YGS Masters program is rapidly growing to become a leading venture allowing independent studios to blossom, and we eagerly look forward to being part of it. Our games are unique. Why do we make slot games in Asia for the European market? Well, it worked for Bruce Lee! YGS Masters now gives us the opportunity to use Yggdrasil’s infrastructure and platform capabilities, including BOOST®, to really push us, enhance our games and take our business to the next level.”
