Scientific Games Acquires Authentic Gaming and Enters Live Casino Market
Scientific Games, a company that has been in the gambling industry for many years, has announced the acquisition of the Authentic Gaming studio. The company believes that this deal can take them one step closer to being a leading software developer in the field of online entertainment. Indeed, Authentic Gaming can make a solid contribution to SG in the live casino.
Authentic Gaming is an experienced Malta-based software developer. Being in the industry since 2015, the company can boast a solid portfolio created by over 50 experts in the gaming field. The studio focuses on the creation of live casino titles, so it can open the doors for Scientific Games in this niche of online gambling. Live Casino comprises about 30% of all online gambling, and there are not so many solid developers to compete with.
Authentic Games can also strengthen the SG’s production capabilities. It plans to use the expertise and experience of the team behind this studio to innovate in-house releases of Scientific Games and make them more technically competitive.

At the same time, this acquisition is also beneficial for Authentic Games. This studio has solid positions on European markets, but the deal with Scientific Games gives it the possibility to expand its services to the United States, as the US market is one of the main ones for SG. The company also plans to establish studios based in the US to provide players with localized products.
Nonetheless, it is currently hard for Scientific Games to compete with Evolution Gaming, a leading provider of live casino titles both in Europe and the Americas. Thus, it has recently strengthened its positions in Canada and got certified in Ontario province.
Gambling operations in Canada seem to be quite successful for Scientific Games too. This company has recently extended its partnership with Loto-Quebec, so both parties plan fruitful cooperation in the field of instant and hybrid lottery games. Their collaboration continues until January 2022 with a possibility of further extension.
