Net Entertainment acquired Red Tiger Gaming in September 2019. Now the company prepares to complete the integration of the recently obtained studio to increase the efficiency of work and economies of scale.
One of the outcomes of the upcoming synergy of NetEnt and Red Tiger is a reduction of 120 full-time positions, mainly in Stockholm, but in Malta as well. The restructuring was implemented to speed up integration. As a result, some functions were relocated.
“create significant efficiency gains in games development”
Being a part of strengthening and increased competitiveness strategy, the restructuring is expected to result in SEK 250 million every year, which is higher by SEK 100 million from the initial estimation.
“We are now entering the next phase of the integration with Red Tiger, whose sellers are also becoming shareholders of NetEnt. The integration will unleash the full potential of our shared capabilities, create significant efficiency gains in games development and strengthen our position as the market leader in online casino”, says Therese Hillman, Group CEO of NetEnt.
Although it is difficult to forecast the outcomes of the COVID-19, Net Entertainment has not been affected by the pandemic outbreak so far. The group expects to receive revenue of approximately SEK 500 million in 2020.
What is more, games from NetEnt have recently arrived at Betfred Casino
