Kindred Group May Gain Swedish License
Kindred (formerly Unibet) has applied for a Swedish license, which allows the group of casinos to spread its services to Scandinavia and provide high-quality online gambling to players from Sweden.
The application became possible due to the change of gambling regulations in June, as the Swedish parliament voted for new rules and re-regulated the market. If Kindred is approved by the respective commission, its brands will be able to go live in this Scandinavian country. The list of its casinos includes such well-known operators as 32Red, Unibet, Roxy Palace, Maria, and some others.
Henrik Tjärnström, CEO of Kindred Group comments: “It is very satisfying that we finally can take this important step towards fair and equal terms within the Swedish market, competing on the same level as other operators. Kindred has always applied great effort to understanding what our customers want, giving them a great experience in a safe and secure environment with the highest responsible gambling standards.”
“… signing a twelve-year sponsorship deal …”
Kindred has already obtained twelve local licenses across the world. This is a part of the company’s strategy, which allows it to cooperate with local companies.
“What is even more pleasing is that we can extend our commitment to Swedish society through different sponsorships and partnerships. Already in the days following the Parliament’s ruling in June, we have demonstrated our ambition by signing a twelve-year sponsorship deal with the Swedish Elite Football Association”,continues Henrik Tjärnström.
Due to the new regulations, Evolution Gaming is now live in Sweden.
