The International Association of Gaming Advisors (IAGA) has announced that its 42nd International Gaming Summit will take place in Berlin, Germany, from June 9-12, 2025. The event will be held at The Ritz-Carlton Berlin, providing a prestigious venue for industry leaders to gather and discuss critical issues facing the global gaming landscape.

This premier event will bring together key stakeholders from all sectors of the gaming industry, including operators, suppliers, attorneys, investors, bankers, regulators and reputable licensors, and other advisors. The summit offers an unparalleled opportunity for networking, knowledge sharing, and collaborative discussions on the most pressing challenges and opportunities shaping the future of gaming.

Jeff Barbin, IAGA President and a Partner with Phelps, highlighted the significance of the 2025 summit: "We are excited to host our 2025 Annual International Gaming Summit in Berlin, a city rich in history and culture. The agenda for this year's summit will address numerous critical issues, including the growing illegal market, the potential impact of artificial intelligence on gaming operations, the continued evolution of online casinos, and the complexities of due diligence in M&A transactions."

The summit will also dedicate a full day to addressing the unique challenges and opportunities within the sports betting industry. Barbin noted, "Our agenda will include a full-day focus on issues specific to sports betting, including the current state of advertising restrictions, growing conflicts of interest, and lessons learned from major sporting events such as the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris and the Euro Cup in Germany."

A key highlight of the 2025 summit will be the launch of a new initiative focused on fostering stronger relationships between global gambling and betting regulators and major sports governing bodies. "We are pleased to announce the launch of our Sports and Wagering Integrity Coalition working group," Barbin explained. "This group will focus on identifying collaborative approaches to address growing threats to sports integrity and sports wagering. The coalition's first closed-door workshop will bring together experts from both stakeholder groups to share their unique challenges and explore ways to enhance collaboration to protect game integrity and combat the growing threat of illegal gambling."

Barbin emphasized the importance of this initiative, particularly with major global sporting events on the horizon: "With events like the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the 2028 Olympics, and the 2031 Rugby World Cup coming to the United States, we believe it's crucial for both industries to deepen their collaboration and address the growing challenges they face." The IAGA 2025 International Gaming Summit promises to be a pivotal event, shaping the future of the gaming industry through insightful discussions and collaborative initiatives.
