This brand emerged on the gaming horizon in spring of 2019, although in fact its history dates back even further. Originally an asset of the Oranje firm, and respectively known as Oranje, it was acquired by Betsson AB in 2014. This i-tech giant and an acknowledged content supplier targeted the website at the Dutch audience, and ever since has been gaining great responses online.
So, why the rebranding then? Is there something to hide?
Well, according to our research, recently Betsson fell into a legislative loophole and was subjected to a EUR 300k fine by the Netherlands’ Kansspelautoriteit commission. The latter accused the company and two of its brands, Oranje and Kroon of delivering games to the Dutch even though there was no KSA authorization for such actions.
Though Betsson, being as vocal as it is, appealed and pointed out the absence of EU-compliant gambling legislation for the country, it still chose to rebrand both of the websites. Just recently we posted a renewed review of Kroon-turned-Winner. And now, the time has come for Oranje to get a new face.
