Review

Jacks or Better Double Up is a single player video poker game featuring classic casino game characteristics: fast gameplay, and high payouts. What is new about this game is that it has the look and feel of a computer game rather than a traditional video poker game. Keep on reading our full review below to learn everything about this release.

Jacks or Better Double Up: Learn What Makes This Game So Unique and Exciting

Today, the studio is listed on the stock exchange in Sweden and produces games with some of the biggest progressive jackpots in the world, not to mention its significant following on both online and mobile platforms.

The Visual Appeal

As soon as you access this Net Entertainment title, you will be presented with a familiar sort of layout. In the top left-hand corner of the screen is the game’s logo, while underneath this you will see the payouts for the various hands displayed. Further information on winning hands is displayed across the top of the screen, while the five cards that you will be dealt can be seen below this section.

Of course, the same video poker wins are incorporated into this version of the game as the original one, with jacks or better providing the smallest payout and a Royal Straight Flush offering up 250x your wager placed.

At the very bottom of the interface is the area that you get to customize the title to your own personal preferences. The main pain of this panel provides the ability to adjust the amount of hands that are in play per round, and this offers up the possibility of altering the amount between a single one and up to five, 10 and 25 hands.

The section next to this is the bet level that you can alter, and this provides a range of between one and five.

Finally, you have the option to change the coin value that is in play, and here you can switch between 0.01 and 0.50. Therefore, if you have the highest coin value, highest bet level and most amount of hands in play you will be playing a maximum overall bet of 62.50 per round. This level can be reached easily by pressing on the ‘Max Bet’ button. The Return to Player or RTP is between 98.40-99.56%.

How to Play and the Winnings

This version of Jacks or Better doesn’t differ so much from the standard single hand version, except that if you have more than one hand in play, you will turn over and play with more cards.

So, once you have set the gamble level that you would like to play with, you simply need to press the central green button to deal your hand. This will turn over the five biggest cards on display, and if you manage to form a winning combination of cards, then these will also be turned over in all the extra hands in play.

Furthermore, if you do form a win, then the cards included in such will be held in place as well.

After this, you simply need to press the central button once more and any cards that are not held in place will be replaced by a newly dealt a set of cards. The winning set of cards and hand will be highlighted in the left hand paytable column and the payout that you’re able to receive is displayed for you as well. It’s at this point that you’re able to collect the winnings as they are, or you can play a bonus round to try and gamble them.

Opting to gamble will take you to the double up page where you’ll be presented with playing cards that are face down. Here, you simply need to select from either red or black to try and guess the color of the next card turned over. If you guess correctly, your winnings will be doubled. You can continue with this round and double up as long as you get the card color correct.
