Despite the similarity of All American poker and Jacks or Better, the possible payouts are different. In addition to that, payouts can also differ from game to game within the All American cohort. Thus, the minimum size of payout is x200 credits, while the maximum one can be as high as x4,000 credits per one hand. The RTP also ranges, and it can be anywhere between 93.21% and 99.38%. There is an opportunity to play all releases of this classification in the best casinos, and you can decide upon the mode of play: either it is free or for real money.

All American Video Poker: Rules and Payouts

The game is played as all the other video poker types: you need to select your bet and press the “Deal” button. You will see five cards on the screen, and you are to decide, which of them to hold to receive the strongest possible hand. If you have a win after you draw cards, you will have an opportunity to multiply your payout. You need to press “Double” for that and try to pick the card, which is higher than the dealer’s one.

The list of winning combinations is the same as that of Jacks or better (you can win Royal Flush, Straight Flush, Four of a Kind, Full House, Flush Straight, Three of a Kind, Two Pairs, and Jacks or Better), but the given payouts for some combinations are higher. If payouts for a Royal Flush and Jacks or Better are more or less the same, you can win much more if you get Straight Flush, Straight or Flush in All American class of poker than in any other video poker type.

Playing Tips

Considering the essential difference in payouts for some winning combination, the All American poker strategy will be a bit different than of other variations, as you need to pay more attention to such combinations as Straight Flush, Straight and Flush. Thus, we can recommend:

  • Always hold such strong hands as Royal Flush, Straight Flush, and Four of a Kind;

  • Hold four cards to Royal Flush, Straight Flush, Flush and Straight;

  • Keep Three of a Kind and Two Pairs;

  • If you do not have any payable combinations, but you have high cards (A, K, Q, J), keep them;

  • If you have neither winning combinations nor high cards, draw all five cards.

Our Opinion

All American offers more beneficial payouts for certain combinations than Jacks or Better, and that is probably the only significant difference between these two variants. If you want to try games with a bit different concept, we can recommend you playing Deuces and Joker, All Aces, and Deuces Wild machines.
